Solomon O. Smith spent the majority of his days writing and making photographs in some capacity. His writings covered a wide range of topics including the Stop Asian Hate movement, the George Floyd Protests, state and local elections, science, health, technology, as well as entertainment and pop culture.

Starting as a staff reporter at the Valley Star, Los Angeles Valley College's paper of record, he moved up to Editor-in-Chief for two years in a row, while also simultaneously wearing other hats on the staff when needed; Photo Editor, Staff Photographer, Opinion Editor, News Editor, Layout Editor, Graphic Designer and others.



Solomon graduated from Los Angeles Valley College with associates degrees in political science, photojournalism and general studies: social and behavioral science as well certificates of Achievement in; photojournalism, newspaper and magazine. He has also gotten pretty good with InDesign, Photoshop, and Lightroom.

During his last semester at Los Angeles Valley College he revitalizing the school magazine, The Crown and established the position of political news editor on the staff.

In his spare time Solomon practices and teaches martial arts, watches every political news show he can, draws, paints, plays video games, watches cartoons, works on his photography, reads, and refines his writing.
